Chuffed volunteers on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (K&WVR) received a top award yesterday.
The five-mile line was presented with a Heritage Railway Association publicity prize.
Association president, Lord Faulkner of Worcester, visited the K&WVR to hand over the accolade as invited guests travelled on a steam-hauled 100-year-old Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Club Carriage.
Clifford Jones, who headed the judging panel, said: “There are a lot of competitors for this award and the standards are exceptionally good.”
Dr Matt Stroh, chairman of the K&WVR, said: “It’s great to receive recognition from such an august organisation. We’re delighted.”
