An Aire Valley brewery has notched up another award.
Saltaire Brewery’s Triple Chocoholic Stout 4.8 per cent ABV has won Silver in the Speciality Beer category at the Great British Beer Festival which ran in London from August 13 to 17.
Managing director Tony Gartland said: “The Great British Beer Festival is the biggest beer competition in the UK and I’m delighted that Triple Chocoholic won Silver in its category.
“Although it’s consistently won awards since we first entered competitions, I really didn’t expect it to do so well.”
The stout has received recognition every year since it was first brewed in 2009.
In the UK, it was the Society of Independent Brewers Supreme Champion in 2010.
It also received international recognition in its bottled format. In 2011, it won a Gold Medal at the International Brewing Awards and was voted Europe’s Best Stout at the World Beer Awards. Last year it was Best Stout at the Hong Kong International Beer Awards.
