MP Stuart Andrew visits home of Yorkshire Air Ambulance
9:00am Monday 19th August 2013 in News
The work of the region’s air ambulance was under the spotlight when Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew visited the home of the service at Leeds Bradford airport. He met Yorkshire Air Ambulance paramedics and operators to discuss the work they undertake.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a rapid response emergency across Yorkshire.
Mr Andrew said: “To keep providing the life-saving service they need to raise £9,990 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s Air Ambulances maintained and in the air and as an independent charity they rely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire, which serves a population of approximately five million people across four million acres.”
