Emergency services were called out to an accident on the M62 shortly before 7am yesterday.
The incident involved two cars and a lorry near to Hartshead Moor Services on the eastbound carriageway. A small fire broke out under a Peugeot 206 but quickly burned itself out. There were no reports of injuries. Speed restrictions of 40mph were imposed but police did not need to close the motorway
