Mr Davies said: “Almost half of people are finding it difficult to find an NHS dentist and I would urge them to let me know and I will take up the case with the NHS commissioning board.”
The survey, carried out by Mr Davies, received 600 responses, of which 43 per cent said they had found it difficult to register as an NHS patient.
He said it also showed 85 per cent of people believed the NHS should only be providing care to those entitled to its support.
Mr Davies added: “I will make sure the results of the surveys are passed on to the appropriate government minister so he knows what the people in Shipley want.”
