An Otley woman is set to depart for the Congo in West Africa to work voluntarily onboard the world’s largest charity hospital ship.
Suli Henderson will board the Africa Mercy next Thursday for her third stint on the ship. Run by international charity Mercy Ships, it offers free medical care and humanitarian aid to some of the world’s poorest people.
Suli volunteers as an ophthalmic nurse practitioner, working as part of the specialist eye surgery team on board.
