Councillor calls for action over 'run-down' Aireborough Leisure Centre

Councillor Pat Latty said the poor state of repair of Aireborough Leisure Centre could be posing health and safety risks, and it had repeatedly missed out on the investment other sports centres had benefited from.
She is calling on Leeds City Council to carry out an assessment of what work is needed and to allocate funding fairly.
Coun Latty (Con, Guiseley and Rawdon) said: “The state of the facilities at Aireborough Leisure Centre is incredibly run-down, and I have had complaints from residents about everything from the condition of the floors and toilets to the dilapidated changing rooms.
“In some cases it seems like there must be health and safety implications for the centre’s users, yet time and time again Aireborough misses out on investment.”
