Scientists from Bradford descended on Harrogate for the annual Yorkshire Cancer Research (YCR) scientific meeting.
Academics, research staff and PhD students at Bradford University’s Institute of Cancer Therapeutics (ICT) presented an array of research posters showcasing its work during the event.
YCR chief executive Charles Rowlett outlined the charity’s strategy to “help the people of Yorkshire avoid, survive and cope with cancer by funding world-class research into its causes, diagnosis and treatment.”
The charity has joined forces with the Telegraph & Argus for the T&A Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal, which aims to raise £1 million so the ICT can buy vital equipment in its work to pioneer new cancer treatments.
