The body of a man was found at a house in Shipley yesterday. Police said a relative of the man made the discovery.

The ambulance service, police and firefighters were called to the property on Dallam Avenue at 6.10pm.

The man, said to be aged in his mid-40s, is believed to have died in his sleep. A fire service spokesman said crews were called to assist with removal of the body, and added that it was found in a first-floor bedroom.

A police spokesman said they were treating the incident as a “non-suspicious sudden death”.
