Leigh lads in Lancashire success
LANCASHIRE under 17s rugby union team won their first game against Cheshire as three Leigh Junior Colts’ players made their mark.
Eliot Liku, chosen as captain was at number eight for Lancs, with Rob Drake at 10 and Matty Wilkinson at 12.Leigh’s three combined well to put Matty Wilkinson between the sticks and settle any first game nerves.
The Leigh lads eventually came away with Wilkinson bagging a brace of tries and Drake one try, two conversions and a penalty, with Liku leading from the front as Lancs ran out 35-15 winners.
