Royal Navy recruit James Madden
A Royal Navy recruit from Keighley is buoyant after completing the first stage of his training at HMS Raleigh in Cornwall.
Trainee chef James Madden (pictured) has undergone a ten-week course, after joining the navy in January.
Mr Madden, a former pupil at Holy Family School in Keighley, said: “Training has definitely been a rollercoaster ride. I’ve learned that the best thing to do is to get on with it. The course has made me into a better person.”
James will now transfer to the Defence Maritime Logistics School.
