Students at Bradford College strutted their stuff on the catwalk as part of the Style Academy Show.

Visitors and guests were treated to an exclusive catwalk show, modelled by students from catering and hospitality, travel and tourism and hair and beauty.

The show was a collaboration between Bradford College and Morton Gledhill, one of the country’s modelling training agencies.

The students, from 16 to 19, have enrolled on a vocational programme, where they learn about styling and image, deportment, etiquette and interview techniques which will help them secure their chances of employment in their chosen field.

Bernadette Gledhill, who hosted the event, said: “Morton Gledhill have been involved in the Style Academy since its conception it is so pleasing to see how a group of students at the start of the programme can be shy and nervous and to evolve into a professional group of confident young people this really does push them out of their comfort zone.”

Event organiser, Hayley Lomas, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the students to work with a professional organisation, really a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Speaking from experience I can assure most that there wasn't much in cutting edge fashion.
