Councillor urges Keighley folk to save cash by switching energy supplier
9:00am Saturday 23rd March 2013 in News
A local councillor is urging cash-strapped Keighley people to look into switching their energy supplier. Jan Smithies (pictured) said the Community Energy Direct scheme was being supported by Bradford Council. The scheme is designed to save people across the district hundreds of pounds each on their household energy bills. The council said that the more people who joined the scheme, the more likely it could get a better deal from energy suppliers. Coun Smithies, who represents Keighley West on Bradford Council, said: “It could help people who are struggling.”
