Teenager with rare medical condition inspires singer to shave her head

Pop star Jessie J has paid tribute to the bravery of a Keighley teenager who lives with a rare medical condition.
Amy Knowles inspired Jessie to have her hair shaved off last Friday during the BBC's Comic Relief fundraising marathon.
Jessie afterwards tweeted to her millions of followers about Amy's heroism in undergoing dozens of operations and months of hospital stays.
Amy, 18, first met the star 18 months ago in a hospital visit arranged by the Wish Upon a Star charity and during their two-hour chat dared Jessie to shed her hair for charity.
Jessie tweeted the picture of Amy kissing her newly-bald head and said: "This picture will forever remind me why in life I must always recognise how I can help those who need it. Thank you Amy, you are my hero."
