A Bradford secondary school has come out of special measures after its latest Ofsted report shows it has improved in all areas.
Now deemed to require improvement, the inspectors said achievement levels at Hanson School are improving and it is good for vocational subjects in the sixth form.
Behaviour has improved and the head and teachers have raised expectations. However, there is room for improvement as maths is not as strong as English. Also, some students have poor attendance records and teaching is not consistently good.
Principal Elizabeth Churton said: "We are delighted that the special measures judgement has been removed from the school. Students and staff have all worked hard to bring about the improvements and I am very proud of them.”
