Boy, 16, robbed in Wyke

A boy of 16 had his mobile phone and wallet stolen in a Bradford robbery.

The teenager was at a bus stop in Towngate, in Wyke, on Monday when he was approached by three men who threatened him and demanded his property.

They grabbed his wallet and phone before fleeing.

Neighbourhood Policing Team officers went to the scene and said later: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated. We will do all we can to bring the offenders to justice.”

Three people have been arrested.

A 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, both from Wyke, and a 19-year-old man from East Bowling were taken into custody at Trafalgar House police station for questioning.

Inquiries are continuing.
