Richard McCann
The son of the first Yorkshire Ripper victim will speak during an event organised by a Bradford charity.
Richard McCann, who was five when his mother Wilma was murdered by Peter Sutcliffe in Leeds on October 30, 1975, will talk about his life at the Jubilee Centre on Jermyn Street from 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 24.
A spokesman for homeless charity Inn Churches, which is hosting the evening, said: “Richard McCann is a national and international inspirational speaker and author.
“He has developed the iCan philosophy which has helped thousands of people in the business, local community and educational worlds to change their way of thinking.
“Richard has learnt to forgive.
“He has learnt that nothing keeps you in bondage to the past more than an unwillingness to forgive.
"God does not want his children to languish in bitterness and be bound to the past. He want us to experience our freedom in Christ on the basis of complete forgiveness and acceptance.
“Why not join us to hear about one man’s forgiveness.”
