Businesses and charities in Bradford have been praised by a government minister for helping people into work.
Mark Hoban, minister for employment, was speaking after figures from the Department for Work and Pensions revealed that 770 people in Bradford have taken part in the government’s work experience scheme since January 2011.
Another 200 people in Bradford have had work experience placements in a specific sector, with added training and a guaranteed job interview. The stats also showed that 3,600 people across West Yorkshire have benefited from the scheme.
