Police outline Bradford priorities

Neighbourhood police in Bradford city centre have outlined their latest set of priorities. They will aim to tackle the issue of rough sleepers, while city centre begging will also receive the attention of officers. Police will also carry out work to reduce ‘theft from person’ offences, particularly during the evenings.

What about the junkies loitering around the city?

What about the gangs of youths hanging around ?

Nah we'll pick on the rough sleepers and the beggars!

They're getting into practice for the inevitable upturn in the numbers of rough sleepers and beggars due to government policies coming into force in April. To catch a thief just walk into any payday loan shop.

I suspect there's more a connection with mental health issues and substance abuse than poverty when it comes to people becoming homeless. Sure I read that somewhere, the police need to tray and get these people into the system where they can receive help!
