Sporting grants available

Groups in Kirklees which promote sport can apply for funding through two grants schemes.

The Sports in the Neighbourhood Grant, from £150 to £1000, is for improving opportunities for people to take part in sport and recreational activities.

The Coach Education Support Scheme is for money towards the cost of Governing Body Coach Education courses at levels one and two.

Any voluntary group in Kirklees can apply for 50 per cent of the course fee. Call (01484) 234082 or email claire.howe@kirklees.gov.uk.
