Five-a-side football tournament for Bradford young people
10:00am Saturday 16th March 2013 in News
Young people across Bradford are invited to take part in a new five-a-side football tournament.
Staff and youngsters at Highcroft Youth Centre have organised the Highcroft Cup competition, with the support of Bradford Council’s youth service and funding from the Youth Opportunities Fund.
The tournament is open to male and female teams – competing separately – and there are three age groups: 13 years and under, 16 years and under, and 19 years and under. Players can be aged up to 25 if registered disabled.
Teams are allowed a maximum of seven players in their squad.
Ash Ibrahim, a youth worker for the Council, said: “We want to get as many teams as possible taking part.”
The tournament is on Saturday March 23 at Goals, Kings Road, Bradford, from 11am.
The deadline for registration is next Tuesday. Ring Ash Ibrahim on 07582 102175.
