Some of the cast of Hairspray with students at Bradford College
Stars from Hairspray joined Bradford College students for some cutting edge fun.
Freya Sutton, who plays teen heroine Tracy Turnblad, joined other cast members at Bradford College salon Centenary Hair and Nails to have their big hair backcombed and beehived.
The salon, on Centenary Square, offers hair and beauty services, with students working alongside professional staff.
Students put into practice what they have learned on their course, working the ‘big hair look’ for cast members.
Level 3 hairdressing student Alison Southwell said: “It’s been quite a surreal experience; we’ve all been really excited about them coming in today.”
Programme manager for Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, Janice Richardson said: “It’s been a fantastic opportunity for our students.”
