A search has been launched for people wishing to influence local health and social care services.
Healthwatch, the consumer watchdog body run locally by Keighley & Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action (KIVCA), will recruit volunteers on Wednesday at an event in Bradford.
Spokesman Lynne Burns said volunteers did not need medical knowledge, just common sense and a desire to influence health and social care issues.
Issues could include hospital treatment for elderly patients and ensuring people get the treatments they want. Volunteers might influence how services are set up and commissioned, or produce reports.
Anyone interested should go to Forster’s Bistro, Centenary Square, on Wednesday between 4pm and 7pm. Booking is essential, on (0113) 394 2300 or conferences@involve yorkshirehumber.org.uk.
