The leader of Bradford Council became a postman for a day to see the work Royal Mail does.

Councillor David Green admitted he was glad he managed to keep up when he joined postie Mark Maiden on his delivery round in Lee Lane, Bingley, yesterday.

Coun Green was one of a number of politicians invited to go out with postmen and women across the UK to see the lengths Royal Mail goes to.

He said: “Postmen and women perform an incredibly important function in our communities, not just delivering communication, but being one of the institutions in society that binds us together for the common good.”

This man will do anything to get his photo in the paper.
Wonder why comments on this are allowed, but comments on him standing infront of the westfield sign making stupid statements like this shows the committment made to the city are not.

Being a POSTIE these days means pressure and bullying from managers. Not easy as Dave reckons!
