New move on Baildon footpath

A Baildon resident has served a notice on Bradford Council to clear an Idle footpath.
But people living near the overgrown path, at Santa Monica Road, want the path to stay closed.
Bradford East Area Committee members agreed to leave the path as it is at their meeting last month, but now the issue will be back up for discussion at the group’s next meeting, when Council officers will recommend it be cleared.
Coun Jeanette Sunderland (Lib Dem, Idle and Thackley) said the Council was being forced to waste money on work that was not needed.
