A man has been rescued by a neighbour from a house fire in Bradford believed to be caused by a faulty electric blanket.

Fire crews from Bradford, Odsal and Cleckheaton were called to a house in Dawson Terrace, Dudley Hill, shortly after 5.15pm today.

They found the fire still burning and that the male occupant had escaped with the help of a neighbour.
