Bradford MP's support for International Women's Day

To mark International Women’s Day yesterday, MP David Ward watched a play, titled ‘Our Glass House’, that highlighted the affects of domestic abuse on men and women.

Our Glass House involves choreography and song and is based on interviews carried out with men and women who have experienced domestic violence.

The Bradford East MP, (Lib Dem) said: “International Women’s Day is an important date in the global calendar as it helps to highlight the work being done to tackle gender inequality and raises awareness about issues facing women around the world.

“The play gets everyone thinking about how as a society we can all play our part to end domestic abuse and support the victims.”

The play is on today at 2pm and 6pm. Meet the at The Sycamores Pub in Eccleshill.
