Odsal centre to trial sports class on a large scale

A large-scale exercise class is being trialled at a Bradford sports centre.

A new ‘super circuit training’ night is being held at Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Odsal, with more than 100 people joining in.

If the one-night only event on Wednesday proves successful, it will be permanently added to the centre’s timetable.

The circuit training class, which will take over not one but two sports halls, aims to improve flexibility, strength, stamina and balance. People of all abilities can join in.

Bradford Council has invited people in its Clubactive corporate membership scheme to bring a friend or a colleague for £2.

The corporate membership card offers employees a 25 per cent reduced rate for the cost of gym, classes and swimming across the city.

Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for sport, said: “Bradford Council is committed to providing people with new and diverse sports and leisure activities and circuits has already proved popular with customers at Richard Dunn Sports centre.”
