Children inspire Shipley recycling exhibition
9:00am Saturday 9th March 2013 in News
An exhibition is running at a Shipley gallery encouraging people to be greener.
The Waste Not Want Not exhibition runs until Saturday, March 30 at Shipley Focus’d art gallery in Market Square.
Bradford Council has funded the show which started this week, National Climate week. It features images of children involved in recycling practice – with many pictures contributed by the children themselves.
There is also a greenhouse constructed from pop bottles and recycled timber.
Director of Shipley Focus’d John Lambert said: “It's fantastic to see local children and schools excited and enthused by recycling. We have some glorious images of their wonderful creations, a milk-bottle igloo, a recycled adventure playground and even ‘a space of waste’ – a building constructed entirely from recycled materials. It's quirky and inspiring.
