Cannabis found in Bradford petrol station car spot-check

A woman was caught in possession of cannabis by police carrying out spot-checks for fuel thieves at filling stations in Bradford.

Over the past week, officers went to forecourts in the Bowling, Barkerend and Bradford Moor areas targeting people who have no intention of paying for fuel.

Throughout the course of the operation, more than 100 vehicles were checked on police systems. Any that flagged up a warning marker were stopped.

They included a vehicle belonging to a woman who was in possession of some cannabis. She was given an £80 fixed penalty notice.
