A bakery in Ilkley is among those using their loaf to come up with novel ways of raising dough for Comic Relief next week.

The Loafer, in Station Road, will be contributing money from sales of bread on Red Nose Day – Friday, March 15 – to the appeal. The bakery will give 20p from every 45p multi-seed loaf sold on the day to the charity, contributing to good causes in the UK and around the world.

Others in Ilkley are cooking up their own red-nose ideas. Among them are staff in the physiotherapy department at Ilkley’s Coronation Hospital, who plan to dress up as superheroes.
