Howarth Timber building in Hightown hit by blaze Howarth Timber building in Hightown hit by blaze

Firefighters have tackled a large shed fire in the Spen Valley.
The 30 metre by 20 metre shed, which had timber and two trucks inside, was partially collapsed when fire crews arrived at about 11.30pm last night.
Cleckheaton Watch Commander Aldene Woodward said about ten per cent of the wooden-framed building, at Howarth Timber, Hare Park, Lane, Hightown, was alight when they arrived and it had partially collapsed.
A cement asbestos roof made tackling the blaze more difficult, but the fire did not spread.
Crews from Cleckheaton and Batley spent two-and-a-half hours at the site and police attended.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
No one was injured.
