Telescope talk for Keighley stargazers

A speaker from the renowned Greenwich Observatory has passed on his skills to members of Keighley Astronomical Society.

The visit by Lee Sproats was the first of several planned talks to the flourishing group by scientists and mathematicians.

Mr Sproats spoke to a packed gathering about telescopes and observing techniques. After the lecture, several members travelled to Lothersdale to join Raygill Astronomy Club.

The society meets at Keighley Campus of Leeds City College. More details from keighleyastronomical society.co.uk or e-mail currdomin@sky.com.
