School wins scooter storage pod in competition

Children are being encouraged to scoot to school at a South Craven primary.

The pupils at Bradleys Both Primary have good reason to take up the activity.

The school has won a North Yorkshire road safety competition and will receive a scooter pod, to store the machines.

A poster chosen as the top design in the contest was created by eight-year-old Charlie Teale, who gave tips on how to scoot safely to school.

Head teacher Diane Cooper said: “We will be encouraging children to scoot to school as part of a healthy lifestyle. We were delighted to win the competition.”
