Facebook campaign started to honour Bradford City success
9:00am Monday 4th March 2013 in News
An internet campaign has been started to get Bradford City players and fans named as BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
The Facebook group has 15 members so far.
It says: “Although it’s not a public vote, we want the BBC to know that we think Bradford City football club and fans deserve to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
“The club have provided one of the best sports stories of the year and the fans have helped to fight preconceptions about their city, and about English football fans in general, all over the world.
“The story of a fourth-tier club with a team put together for a few thousand pounds beating teams worth millions to reach the Capital One cup final at Wembley is an inspiration.”
The page is called Bradford City and Fans for Sports Personality of the Year.
