The new Yorkshire patron for Marie Curie Cancer Care is urging volunteers to come forward to help collect money for the charity.
Gary Verity, who is chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, called for helpers to take part in collections for the Great Daffodil Appeal this month.
Mr Verity said: “Becoming a collector for the Great Daffodil Appeal is a fantastic way to help Marie Curie. Donating just one or two hours of your time will allow Marie Curie nurses to provide more care to terminally ill people in their own homes.”
Visit mariecurie.org.uk.daffodil or call the fundraising office on (01274) 386191 to volunteer.
