Reminiscing and relaxation are among a range of free activities for older people in Bradford.
Bradford Older People’s Centre, supported by Bradford & District Senior Power and Age UK Bradford and District, is hosting a series of new Wednesday sessions at the Picnic Parlour, above Handmade in Bradford, 1 Tyrell Street, as part of its aim to establish a permanent base for older people in the city centre.
On Wednesday visitors can reminisce about one of the city’s former flagship department stores – Brown,Muff & Co. They can play cards and games in the sessions, from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm.
A knitting drop-in takes place from 10am until noon on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. For details, call Heather Blakey on (01274) 395144 or 07896 308208; e-mail heather. blakey@ageukbradfordand district.org.uk
