Utley Cemetery lodge fails to sell at auction

Utley Cemetery Lodge
An empty cemetery lodge failed to sell at auction.
The neo-gothic 19th-century building at Utley Cemetery, Keighley, went under the hammer in Leeds.
But the historic building, which has planning permission for conversion to residential use, failed to reach its estimate of £100,000 to £125,000.
Auctioneer Pugh & Co said the property was still available and open to offers. For further information visit pugh-auc tions.com.
The lodge was used as an on-site office by Bradford Council, but was shut last year as part of cost-cutting measures, despite a fight by campaigners to save it.
More than 295 residential and commercial lots were included in the sale, at Leeds United Football Club’s Elland Road stadium.
