Thief stole from car while driver changed bulb

A sneak thief stole documents from a vehicle as its owner was changing a headlight bulb, police have revealed. The theft happened in the car park of Ikea at Birstall last Sunday.
Police said while the motorist was busy, the thief got into the vehicle and took documents which had been left on view, before making off unseen.
They said the incident had been captured on CCTV, but the suspect had not yet been identified.
