Otley’s mayor had a taste of life on the beat when she accompanied police on patrol in the town.
Coun Mary Vickers accompanied PCSO Peter Andrews on a daytime patrol through the town centre.
During her fact-finding mission Coun Vickers spoke to a number of shopkeepers promoting the joint approach and relationship between Otley Town Council and the police.
