Police have criticised the “appalling” parking of parents dropping off children at St Andrew’s Primary School, Keighley.
During a morning visit this month to the school, off West Lane, Keighley, officers saw cars blocking pavements.
They were particularly shocked to see a woman transporting her two-year-old child without a car seat and told her to walk the child home.
Officers from Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team issued tickets to the worst offenders.
They also visited St Joseph’s Primary School in Ingrow to monitor parking problems that have continued despite regular advice letters going to parents.
A police spokesman said: “One parent received a fixed penalty notice for £30, as they parked on the yellow zig zag lines, ignoring the warning signs.
“Parents are reminded to park legally and considerately as monitoring will continue.”
