Woman ordered to pay back part of fraud cash to Bingley company

A former payroll manager at Damart has been ordered to pay back part of the £42,000 she fleeced from the Bingley thermal wear company.
Janine Askins (pictured) was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment, suspended for two years, with 250 hours of unpaid work at Bradford Crown Court in October.
She pleaded guilty to fraud and money laundering offences, committed to pay off debts.
Yesterday Askins, 45, of Park Grove, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, was back at the Crown Court for a hearing under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Judge Peter Benson ruled that she benefited to the tune of £42,060 from her dishonesty.
She must pay Damart £10,278 out of her share of the family home. Askins had six months to find the money, or serve six months in jail in default.
