An annual charity walk which is in its fifth year has signed up its first sponsor.

Bradford law firm Petherbridge Bassra Solicitors is backing the 2013 Daffodil Walk.

The event is organised by one of the Marie Curie Hospice support groups, The Daffs, which has raised more than £100,000 for the hospice.

Daffs’ chairman Dave Harvey said: “We are grateful to Petherbridge Bassra for being our sponsors.”

Anne Petherbridge, practice manager at the law firm, said: “Marie Curie is a charity that we feel very strongly about and over the past few years we've taken part in a number of fundraising events.

“We know first hand about the amazing work that Marie Curie and The Daffs do to support people living with cancer, and their families, in Bradford. This is an issue that touches many people and, for us, the Daffodil Walk brings together the concept of fun, family, hope and remembering loved ones.”

The event is on Sunday, March 24, and starts and finishes at The Old White Horse Inn. Contact: Jean Peart on (01274) 599950 or e-mail at jeanpeart@blueyonder.co.uk.
