Conservative councillors have welcomed the latest changes to the Labour-run executive’s budget proposals which would see the Sugden End waste recycling centre in Keighley remain open.
Councillor Rebecca Poulsen declared the change of heart a victory for common sense and resident action.
She said: “The people of the Worth Valley and Bingley Rural have campaigned very vocally to see the Sugden End site stay open and it is right that their concerns and subsequent efforts have been recognised.”
