Voluntary work to be celebrated by Batley, Birstall and Birkenshaw Area Committee

Volunteers and community groups will be celebrated at a meeting next month.
Batley, Birstall and Birkenshaw Area Committee meets on Tuesday, March 5, and the theme is ‘Celebrating Community Achievements’.
Chairman, Councillor Gwen Lowe, said: “We have lots of active volunteers who work hard to organise local activities that help to improve our area. This meeting will give them an opportunity to promote the work they do and showcase the difference their project has made.”
The meeting will be in the Council Chamber at Batley Town Hall from 5.45pm.
