A taser-wielding robber stole cash and cigarettes from a terrified cashier at a petrol station late last night.
A masked man entered the Total filling station at Greengates, Bradford, at 11.35pm.
He threatened the cashier before making off with cash and cigarettes in the direction of Ravenscliffe.
Police believe he was armed with a hand-held taser, but said no-one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as white and approximately 5ft 8ins tall.
He was wearing a dark, skin tight top, grey tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and black gloves.
Detective Inspector Neil Benstead, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, said today: “I am appealing to the public for help in catching the person responsible for this.
“Robberies such as this remain rare but nevertheless are frightening to those caught up in them.
“I would ask that any witnesses or anyone with information contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
