A suspect wanted in connection with a burglary was collared by police as he fled an address in Poplar Grove, Buttershaw, Bradford, the area’s Neighbourhood Policing Team has revealed.
“Our colleagues from Response attended an address on Poplar Grove after we had received a call about a wanted male possibly being at an address,” the team’s report of the arrest on Wednesday night stated yesterday.
“Upon arrival an 18-year-old male ran off in an attempt to evade arrest, but unfortunately for him he was caught a short distance away.
“The male was wanted in connection to a burglary that occurred in Keighley a couple of weeks ago.”
A 17-year-old youth was also arrested after being found to be breaching his bail conditions by being at the address.
He was taken to court yesterday as the 18-year-old was being held at Keighley police station.
