New plans have been submitted for a home next to Leeming Reservoir in Oxenhope.
Applicant Steve Taylor wants to build the property on the site of a previous application for a modern ‘eco-home’ which was refused by the Keighley and Shipley Area Planning Panel in September last year.
The design statement accompanying the latest application states: “The development will be visible from Denholme Road, but will sit behind an existing dry stone wall. Views to the reservoir will be maintained either side of the property.
“We’ve sought to preserve the character and appearance of Leeming Conser-vation Area through sympathetic use of local materials and a contemporary interpretation of the traditional architectural details.”
Oxenhope Parish Council has recommended the new proposals for refusal.
