A community-run craft store is about to have a ‘scrappy’ birthday as it marks its fifth anniversary of encouraging families to get arty.

Scrap Magic started out life from an empty garage but now, with backing from Bradford Community Environment Project, runs mobile shops once a month in children’s centres in Keighley, Cottingley, Manningham, Queensbury and Holme Wood as well as from its usual base at Eccleshill Adventure Playground, Greengates.

To mark its anniversary Scrap Magic is having an open day on Wednesday, April 17, from 10am to 4pm. Visit bcep.org.uk or contact (01274) 223236.
