Horse riders urged to ‘Mount Up for Manorlands’
9:00am Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
Horse riders from Bradford are being asked to ‘Mount Up for Manorlands’ in a charity horse ride.
The event will be held at the Coniston Estate, near Skipton, on Sunday, May 26, and riders can choose between three routes, which take participants out on tracks, quiet lanes and bridleways towards Malham.
Sue Ryder regional fundraiser Andrew Wood said: “The 2012 inaugural event saw over 120 riders taking part, between them raising over £5,000.
“The feedback we received was fantastic, so we are delighted that with the support of the Coniston Hotel, and of our event sponsor Whitakers Animal Feeds, we are able to stage this event once again.”
Funds raised will go towards helping Sue Ryder provide care and support to people living with incurable conditions in the community. For more details, go to mountupformanorlands.org.uk or call the Manorlands fundraising office on (01535) 640430.
